A government organization in Los Angeles County, CA is looking for a Senior Accountant to fill a vacancy within the Finance Division. This is a full-time position working for at least 3 to 6+ months and could become temp-to-hire. Compensation is open, DOE/DOQ.
Prepares complex financial reports and analyses for submission to local, state and federal governmental agencies.
Directs and reviews the work of subordinate staff members.
Maintains general and subsidiary ledgers.
Prepares journal vouchers for adjusting and correcting accounting records.
Prepares year-end adjusting and closing entries.
Graduation from a college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, or public administration.
Three (3) years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience. Governmental accounting experience is highly desirable.
